Sportika Gallagher Baseball Completes Another Outstanding Weekend

Sportika Gallagher Baseball

Congrats to 15U Sportika Gallagher Red on winning the USABL 15U Jersey Battle this past weekend. The team was absolutely dominant, outscoring its opponents 45-8 and only allowing three earned runs in four total games. Both playoff games of the tournament were shutouts, including a four-inning no-hitter that was thrown by Ethan Rodriguez in the championship game.

Adding to that line, our pitchers finished the weekend with 14 scoreless innings, recording 21 strikeouts while giving up just four hits and five walks. The offense was led by Tucker Elder with seven hits (three doubles), and Justin Guest added three doubles as well. Brett Hilsheimer, Jared Stillwagon and Joseph Marini all finished with five RBIs apiece.

We also want to send out our congrats to 15U Sportika Gallagher Select, who won a division of the Jersey Battle Tournament in a total team contribution. Offensively, the team scored 55 runs in their four games on the way to the championship, highlighted by overcoming an 8-1 deficit in the semifinals to advance. Colin De Trolio (11 RBIs) and Jacob Veczko (Grand Slam, 9 RBIs) paced the offense. Overall, every player contributed at least one hit and one RBI.
